Man Fighting for Life After Daytime Stabbing in Historic Downtown Glendale

GLENDALE, Ariz. — A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in Glendale on Saturday morning, police said.

Just after 11:30 a.m., first responders were dispatched to reports of a stabbing in the area of 55th and Glendale avenues, according to the Glendale Police Department.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been stabbed, the department said. He was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the suspect had already fled the scene when officers arrived but was later located and taken into custody. The suspect has not been publicly identified.

Authorities believe impairment may have played a role in the incident, which they described as isolated.

Investigations are ongoing, and officials have not released additional details as of this update.
