Surprise Police Arrest Man on Multiple Child Sex Crime Charges, Seek Possible Additional Victims
SURPRISE, AZ — Surprise Police Department officers have arrested a man on multiple child sex crime charges and are actively investigating whether there may be additional victims, according to the department.
Corey Pattakos, 37, was taken into custody on Tuesday in connection with a child sex crimes case, police said. That work led authorities to identify Pattakos as a suspect.
Details surrounding the case, including what first drew police attention to Pattakos, remain limited. Documents related to his arrest have been sealed by court officials, so the full scope of the investigation is not yet public.
Police are now asking the public for help identifying anyone else who may have been a victim of Pattakos.
"The Surprise Police Department is committed to thoroughly investigating allegations involving crimes against children while protecting the privacy and dignity of victims," the department said in a news release.

- Luring of a minor for sexual exploitation
He is being held on a $500,000 bond.
