Two Suspects Arrested in Fatal Shooting at Tempe Apartment Complex

TEMPE, Ariz. — Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a deadly shooting at a Tempe apartment complex over the weekend that left a man dead, police said.

The Tempe Police Department identified the victim as 24-year-old Tyrone Rios Jr.

Authorities did not release the names of the suspects as the investigation is ongoing. Officials said the suspects' names would be made public at a later time.

The incident

Officers were called to the area of Center Parkway and Washington Street around 2 a.m. Saturday in response to reports of gunshots. The shooting occurred at the Rio Paradiso apartment complex near Parkside Drive, police said.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found Rios Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died, authorities said.

It is not clear what led to the fatal incident. Police said the investigation is ongoing and more details are expected.

The Tempe Police Department is asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the department with tips.
