Yavapai College Welcomes Federal Partners to Forum in Prescott
Prescott, Arizona — Yavapai College hosted the U.S. Department of Agriculture Federal Partners Forum Supporting Rural Communities on Tuesday, May 5. The event brought more than 100 local, state, and federal representatives to Prescott to present information and discuss shared challenges facing rural communities.
The forum aimed to strengthen partnerships and explore solutions related to economic development, housing, healthcare access, workforce development, and infrastructure in rural areas.
College President Highlights Regional Engagement
Dr. Lisa Rhine, President of Yavapai College, said the event reflects the institution's vision of making the community a premier place to learn, work, and live.

Vice President Emphasizes Higher Education Role
Mr. Jack Smith, Vice President of Community Relations and Legislative Affairs, highlighted the importance of collaboration and regional engagement in addressing challenges unique to rural areas.
